For our comfort and to work happily, it’s good to have you own space ( as Ricardo said) , with a maximum of light is the best ( natural one is better, totally agree coly!) ! To improve the working environment, it’s necessary a good communication beetween people, music, green plants ( is definitely nice, I’ am agree with you Christian!) and of course some moments of laughter !

Well, there’s a lot of crap around the open space concept. In the end, it works against productivity. You need your own space so you can focus.

Ambiance makes the difference. Try plain and quiet colours and natural light. An spacious room and comfortable office-chairs also play an important role.

Offices with lots of sunlight and less artificial light improve workers’ moods, but if that’s not possible than decorations, posters, plans (like Christian said) are great. And if you’re working on the computer and it’s not necessary to be on the phone, some music playing always seems to make people happy- take turns deciding who gets to pick the playlist!
