It’s that Ghoulish time of the year, Halloween and here at FACE we just can’t help it but give out “themed advice” so check out three lessons we get from Halloween:

We’ve talked several times about the different fears entrepreneurs need to overcome when they decide to found their own business. Manuel Maguga, a Spanish entrepreneur, is not an exception. After several years working in different companies around the world, he finally took the leap of faith and recently launched his startup: Upgradeshop.

Madrid was the beginning and has been the ending –for now- of our amazing road of entrepreneurship.We began this project one year ago, with the aim of talking about a tabu: the fears that every single entrepreneur has to face. And surely we’ve been spreading across Europe a message: it’s ok to fail. Read our last event manifesto!

Exactly 2 years ago we did a little experiment and for a period of 3 months we tried a 4-day work week, taking off the first Friday of each month. After the trial period, we analyzed the results, taking into account both the positive and negative factors, made some changes and decided to try it out for another 3 months, yet this time increasing the amount of Fridays off from 1 to 2 per month.

The FACE (Failure Aversion Change in Europe) Entrepreneurship project celebrated a new offline event under the title ‘Failure, the road to success’ in its European tour which aims to promote ICT entrepreneurship by tackling the emotional side of it, Thursday, October 6th at South Summit in Madrid.

“2.6 billion euros in the volume of private investment early stage”: This may be the most interesting part of the plan of the government for Industry 4.0 presented in September 21 in Milan by the Premier Matteo Renzi, and the Minister of economic Development Carlo Calenda, at least for Italian startups.

Throughout this incredible journey that has been FACE Entrepreneurship, we have had the chance to travel to different EU cities. We´ve hosted 6 events across Europe. We have met local entrepreneurs and felt welcomed by the ecosystem. This video is just a few silly and funny clips of the team that traveled, speakers and part of the team that has helped grow FACE Entrepreneurship into the community is today. Every team member has been an essential part of the project and even though they might not have gone on the trips they were always present.
