“A lot of people want to be entrepreneurs but they are full of fears”. That’s how the FACE Dublin event started this Thursday at the Guinness Enterprise Centre, with a full room of expecting entrepreneurs or potential entrepreneurs that were wondering about just one thing… “What about my future?”, “What if I try and I fail?”, “What’s going to happen to my professional profile if I’m not a successful entrepreneur after all?” There were many questions like these during the approximately three hours of intense entrepreneurship lessons and talks that we are going to sum up for you. And yes, there were a lot of very good answers from our speakers: Jesse Van Doren, Ken Banks, Cristina Luminea and Eoin Costello. Let’s take a look.

Fear is one of those travelling companions that every entrepreneur has to get used to having as soon as they decide to launch a business.  The process of turning an idea scribbled on a napkin into a successful business model produces a series of fears that we, at FACE Entrepreneurship, indentified thanks to a DELPHI study carried out by Professor Jan Brinckmann of ESADE Business School.  Although it’s not a surprise to anyone that the first cause of anxiety stems from financial matters, what comes immediately after is the fear of losing a professional career.  And that’s exactly what we’ll be discussing at our next entrepreneurship event in Dublin, which we invite you to attend.
