The FACE of experience with Bautista & Bermejo

Time flies and Kate's team is realizing that good ideas come with a huge work load and talent to be able to become a real business. That's why setting up the right team is key to every entrepreneurial project, as explained by the expert Manuel Bermejo.

Meanwhile, the young entrepreneur Nea Bautista recommends surrounding yourself with "very capable people" as fast as possible. Don't miss this interesting analysis about the importance of a good team!

Discussion

At this point, many entrepreneur experts have made it clear that setting up the team is one of the most important tasks you will have to face. Some entrepreneurs that we've interviewed for FACE Entrepreneurship have explained that they prefer to startup with friends or people close to them, while on the other hand others warn against this claiming that friendships may become problematic when business is involved.

Will you startup with friends and family? How do you choose a business partner?

When we are still students, I believe that we are more motivated to start a startup with friends, we spend a lot of time together and we know each other well o we enjoy to try a new adventure. Personally, I think it is a great advantage to launch a business with other students. With age, I think we're looking partners who have experience in the field, not necessarily friends.

I started my first entrepreneurial projects with friends and it turned out quite tricky, as a lot of challenges occurred our friendship had not have had before. This is also a good chance to get to know your friends even better ;)

hahaha, definitely! Friendship and businesses can work well together, but not necessarily!

Good to try as sharing potential success among friends would also be more fun and precious.

Working with friends/family could end up in both a nice or an awful situation. First you have to see if you're compatible to work with each other and then you have to check if your visions of the company are aligned. If you answered 'NO' to both questions, then start recruiting.

Well, in a first thought seems like an appealing idea but you have to be VERY sure of your friends or familiy. Even when they are great people, they may not be the best option for start a business...

I prefer not to work with my friends. They are great people, but I'd rather keep my private life and professional life seperate. I wouldn't want to have to fire a friend or worse, argue with someone in my family over a business. Family, for me, comes first.
