There are many factors that play an important role in being a good entrepreneur. Leadership skills, business acumen, creativity ... but how do you know if someone has the required skills to be a successful entrepreneur? How are all these factors measured? This week we highlight Octoskills, developed by the Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship, in our weekly app for entrepreneurs.  Octoskills does just that, it measures the impact of education on the entrepreneurial skills of any student. What could be more difficult than having an idea and implementing it?  Is there anything more complicated than forming a team of talented professionals who are 100% dedicated to your project? Now that you’ve got the funding from an investor, everything should be going smoothly, right?  Unfortunately, no.  Although many think that the first few months of building a startup are the hardest that’s not actually all true, budding entrepreneur Mircea Patachi gives it to us straight, “The first few months are exciting, but I would expect the same level of demand for the next 5 years.”

The Finnish startup scene is really unique: Finland has one of the leading startup conferences in Northern-Europe known as Slush, the Finnish Government has extensive supportive measures towards startups but most of all the entrepreneurship culture is highly developed especially within the students who are without contest the drivers of change.
